Creating habitat structures for the octopus population

Working together with the Chamela Fishing Cooperative to test the building of concrete tubes. The goal is to build artificial reefs that also become suitable habitats for octopuses to be placed in certain sections of Chamela Bay. The goal is to use local materials mixed with ecological cement and to experiment with the thickness to see what would be most durable.

A lot was learned during these first tests. More structures will be built in the coming months.
